Welcoming the Dark

My eyes are stuck below

My body’s still from fear

As she looks right inside me

Her soul flooding with tears

I try to find the courage

I try to find myself

But I just spit out words

That make life a living hell

I promise I’m trying

And I could but I won’t ignore it

But I should try and restore this

‘Cause what’s good about holding on

When my conscience is all wrong?

I swear that we’ll get through this

When I find you inside my heart

So just stay away from me now

‘Cause I’m welcoming the Dark

So I keep falling down

So low where no one sees

But truth is I hope you do

Just so I can disagree

I’m feeding off my vanity

I’m never wrong I’m always right

 It’s causing my insanity

So don’t give up put up a fight

I promise I’m trying
